The breakouts have stopped but those nasty acne marks just won’t go away. Acne treatment products are often times hard on the pocket. If you don’t have the budget, try these easy homemade masks to naturally fade acne scars.
Baking soda mask
Baking soda is a good exfoliator and has anti-inflammatory properties that help fade acne marks and promote skin cell growth. To clear your skin, simply make a paste using equal parts baking soda and water then let it rest only on the affected areas for five minutes before washing it off.
Turmeric and coconut oil mask
Turmeric is rich in anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that can fade acne scars. Meanwhile coconut oil is known to have many benefits for the skin, one is being rich in Vitamin E. Combine equal parts of the two, mix well, and spot treat affected areas. Let it rest for 15 minutes before washing it off.
This mask may be a miracle concoction because of its ingredients. Combine 2 parts cinnamon with one part lemon juice, and one part honey. Cinnamon and honey, like turmeric, has anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Meanwhile, lemon juice has natural bleaching properties.
This mask could get a little messy but it’s worth it. You only need to soak ½ cup of oatmeal in 1 cup of warm water with lemon juice until cool enough to spread on the face. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes before washing off. Oatmeal helps clear acne scars because of its exfoliating properties and it also dries up blemishes. This mask will leave your face looking brighter and feeling smoother.
