Sometimes, what we put on our skin is not enough to take care of it. If you are still experiencing skin problems, consider changing your eating habits.

Here are 5 eating habits to help you glow from within:

Avoid dairy products

Believe it or not dairy products especially milk is bad for your skin. It naturally contains growth hormones that can cause inflammation, clogged pores, and acne. If you cannot scrap the dairy, opt for vegan alternatives such as soy milk.

Let go of processed foods

Processed foods are generally bad for your health. They are often times nutrient-deficient and contains lots of additives and preservatives which increase oil production in your skin leading to skin problems like clogged pores, acne, and skin aging.

Control your sweet tooth

Having too much sugar in your diet affects your insulin levels. Higher insulin levels trigger inflammations in your body. So if you are dealing with big red angry pimples, you might want to lessen your sugar intake.

Eat your fruits and veggies

Fruits and vegetables are a staple when it comes to eating healthy. These foods are enriched with nutrients such as Vitamin C, A, and antioxidants, that can help increase the production of healthy skin cells and collagen for a more youthful glow.

Drink lots of water

Cliché it may be, but drinking lots of water is a big help to achieve a healthy skin. It is the most accessible way to flush out toxins from your body that may be causing your breakouts. Plus, water helps your cells a lot. Lack of water intake dehydrates your skin cells which can cause faster aging in the long run.
